The Building

The iconic dhow-shaped building of Dubai Opera is a masterpiece of contemporary design and a stylish tribute to Dubai’s maritime history. The building’s exquisite design, by Atkins and lead architect Janus Rostock, gives the exceptional ability to transform into three modes; from a theatre into a concert hall, and into a ‘flat floor’ mode becoming a banquet or event hall. This seamless flexibility enables Dubai Opera to host a wide variety of performances and events including theatre, opera, ballet, orchestras, concerts, fashion shows, live entertainment, conferences, galleries and art exhibitions.

In Theatre mode, the space is suitable for large-scale drama productions, musicals, ballets, lectures, and conferences, seating up to 2,000 people, depending on the configuration. When transformed into a concert hall, a series of towers and reflectors on stage and overhead are designed to create an acoustic shell around the orchestra, enabling a perfect acoustic environment for amazing sound quality. The building’s unique architecture also allows hosting a variety of events such as weddings, trade shows, art galleries and exhibitions, receptions and parties, using its “flat floor” mode.

Dubai Opera also boasts several spaces and venues, including a stunning rooftop restaurant and sky garden with views of The Dubai Fountain and the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.

The Theatre at Mall of the Emirates

Welcome to Theatre At Mall Of The Emirates. This stunning, cultural venue with two magnificent theatre spaces also has capacity for a range of workshops, dance and performing arts classes, private function rooms and more.

Art For All is privileged to be the current managers of this beautiful performance and exhibition space, and we have hosted events here for many years, with enormous success. The impressive acoustics of the main theatre guarantees a magnificent performance experience, and also accommodates an audience of over 500 people, with stalls, VIP boxes and balcony seating.

There is also a smaller theatre space for productions too, which has proven excellent when we’ve hosted events for schools.

But don’t just take our word for it. Come and pay us a visit. This summer we have a huge range of classes and summer camps on offer for children champing at the bit for learning and entertainment.
